While walking the floors at SHOT Show 2024, Guns.com got to check out Hatsan’s expanded BullTac line of Escort bullpup shotguns. Hatsan released the pump-action bullpup in 12 gauge last year and is now offering it in 20 gauge and .410. The expansion of chamberings gives the user a wider array of applications and can accommodate folks with varying shooting experience.

The new semi-auto version will also come in three gauge options.

Hatsan has also updated the line with a new semi-auto version of the BullTac. The semi-auto uses the same 3-inch chamber and five-round capacity as the pump. The semi-auto line will also be offered in 12 and 20 gauge and .410 bore, giving the user options right off the bat.

The bullpup platform is increasing in popularity for uses like home defense, thanks to its handy nature in close-quarters situations.

Hatsan chose the bullpup design to keep the firearms short and compact, optimizing the platform for home defense
